James is a seasoned actor with over 40 years experience in the business having worked in several markets including California, New York, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Chicago. James started acting in Theatre in Texas at the age of 15. Landing his first one liner at 18 on Dallas (Who Shot JR episode, 1980).  As a theatre major in High School and he decided his passion was acting.

Recent Credits include: Killers of the Flower Moon, Law & Order SVU,  BULL, The Staircase, Manhunt, Sick Girl, A 1000 Tomorrows, Love at the Christmas Tree Contest, Dopesick, Reagan, The 7th Day, Leverage Redemption, True Story, Christmas Love Tree, Run Hide Fight and East New York.

 

Some past credits include Law & Order SVU, Will & Grace, Judging Amy, Recurring on Even Stevens & Walker TX Ranger, The Hate U Give, Trial by Fire, Dynasty, Painkillers, Insatiable & JAG.

James also worked with many of the top Casting Directors and Producers in Los Angeles and began teaching Cold Reading technique and On Camera Acting during his time in LA.​

On the personal side, James has been married since 1984 to his wife Claire and they have one daughter, Jenny.  James also has had a real life while pursuing acting, beginning a police career in 1983 and retiring as Chief of Police in 2015.  During this tenure he was a patrol officer, SWAT Team member, a Detective working, property, GANG, and VICE. He also worked for the Dept of State in Afghanistan for just over a year, setting up and training Afghan Command Police Staff and Officers.
